Westward 2014: Las Vegas

Vegas… Lovely, lovely Vegas!

In short it was a riot! We had driven out because it was Gay Pride weekend in Vegas. So we had a full car of 5 people. That being said I had no complaints about driving for a while because I got the driver seat! Then the front seat. Long legs don’t fit in the back much less the awkward middle seat I had for a while.

But we made it! And we were staying at the Luxor! How cool right?! 

We hit the clubs that night. And the next morning Liam and I got up early to go to one of those time share presentations so we could get free stuff, like tickets and gambling money!

I have to say this was one of the funniest parts of the trip because they were under the impression that Liam and I were a couple. Honestly it was fantastic! They were all like this would be the best way to build your relationship, I just wanted to drop the bomb and be like did you tell your husband you were coming with me. They would have freaked because we had this like super conservative old dude who was giving me the eye the whole time like hey I know you’re a gold digger. But he was a sweetie in his own way. So after wasting about three hours we got tickets to the titanic exhibit and the aquarium along with food vouchers and I got my gambling money!!

When we got back it was breakfast time. Liam had to run to the airport to pick up some friends so Edgar, Leo and I went to the aquarium. It was right next door. We walked over because we couldn’t get the hang of the skyrail, apparently you had to go left to take a right. It was hot as fuck and we were sweaty from the 5 minute walk over. 

Then we wandered through the casino till we found the aquarium only to find out we needed Liam to retrieve the damn things. But we got it sorted and in we went! It was a predators aquarium so lots of sharks and other killer things.

I wanted to do something super Vegas and get a tattoo for the fun of it. But it was way too expensive. I wanted the Orion constellation on my foot, just the stars/dots not that much work… $200. So I said nope! I’ll be Vegas and gamble tonight!

When we met back up with Liam we went for a walk on the strip… well actually we walked the whole length of the strip!

Then it was gambling time! The boys went to club some more. I had some LIT’s and won $30 at Roulette decided I was winning and also realized it was late. So I cashed out and made my way up to bed. The next day was a slow start for everyone. Leo and Liam went to the Titanic exhibit, I didn’t feel like crying so early in the morning so I opted for coffee and light breakfast so I’d be in top shape for driving home!
