Lost on Youtube

Hey all. I was working diligently last night on edits. I’m actually reworking a whole scene so that Neal is the one in a fight instead of Jamie. So that’s what I was doing till my brother comes over and told me to look up Death Metal Rooster of Youtube. So I did. Then I had to check out the Metal Parrot and it went downhill really fast. I don’t know if you’ve ever gotten lost on youtube but I swear I was distracted for over an hour wasting my life looking at odd and useless videos. So I thought I’d at least make it somewhat productive. So I copied some of the really good outrageous videos. Enjoy!

Hello 3.5

I just went on to check my grades for this semester. I nailed every class. Got 2 As and 3 Bs. I’m so excited! I was iffy on my Modernization in Asia class. I could have sworn I was going to get a C but I pulled a B out of somewhere… so I’m quite happy with myself! And I’ll excited that I did so good this semester. But my GPA is a 3.500… and I’m supposed to have a 3.6 to transfer to NYU… so I’m hoping that a 3.5 is close enough. I’m still waiting to hear back. It should legit be any day cause they said I should hear back by the middle of May and ya it’s the middle of my… what fun.

I downloaded the new 30 Seconds to Mars CD and I’m basically addicted to the song This Is War. It’s basically epic. Like so epic I had to rewrite a death scene cause it inspired me to make it super epic. Haha. Below is a AMV I’m totally in love with… and it’s to This is War… so ya… it’s awesome

Now onto even more awesome news. It’s funny actually. Because last week I had put on my status of facebook that I wanted someone to Beta my manuscript. And I got two replies. One was from a friend and another was from a guy from my writing group. So I sent it to both and I feel so important now because my friend from my writer’s group proposed we do a swap. So now I’m a Beta for his manuscript! It’s very exciting. And I’m totally digging his novel so far its legit interesting.

And oh goody I’m back to drawing more maps… I think I have an obsession with them I just sketched out a map of the districts on Temple. Hehehe it’s for the Final Thread Quartet but I was writing a scene today that I needed districts for so I thought what the heck I’ll just draw the whole thing now. so I did and I rather like it. So I’m going back to finishing up the scene…

Happy Summer!

Hi all! Happy summer! So I have a lot to catch you all up on. first off I have been out of school for almost a week now. It’ll be a week tomorrow. And it feels totally amazing to have finished my first year of school. I’m just waiting for all my grades now. I have my Bio and Algebra grades both of which are Bs and I’m very proud of myself. I enjoyed writing my Nazi Era Germany paper… good story about that we had a source reader for with all sorts of things that we had to read for the semester and I was supposed to get the format for the paper along with a bunch of information about the topic from it. And I had made the mistake of sending it home on Monday when my mum was helping me move most of my room out. So I just sort of just made it up as I went with the in-text citations. When I got home I looked in the source reader and I had done it right. Lol. It was APA format even though my professor said that it wasn’t APA. Yay! Plus it was just downright fun to write. I loved that class a lot.

It was really funny when I was walking off campus it’s one of those moments when you know you’re done with that part of your life. Most of the time you never feel or see a part of your life ending but something you can’t help but totally see them. And I was really happy that I finished my freshman year without getting kicked out or dropping out. And now I’m just waiting for my letter from NYU… I should be hearing back this week... cause the website said that I’d hear back in the middle of may at the latest.

So onto the pictures from my signing! I lost my camera chord… so I can’t upload them yet.. haha

Oh and my last two lists… pretty much the best ones!

Things I won’t miss about my roommate.
1) Her smelly clothes
2) Her loud music
3) Her singing to her music
4) Her habit of not cleaning her side of the room
5) Her leaving the door unlocked
6) Her slamming doors when I’m sleeping
7) Her talking on the phone while I’m sleeping
8) Her having friend in the room while I’m sleeping
9) Her over all rudeness
10) Her changing clothes when I’m sitting at my computer
11) Her friends just walking into the room like they live here

Now to compensate…. 2 things I will miss about my roommate
1) Her sharing textbooks with me
2) Her not being in the room all the time

Signing

Last night I was at the opera! It was so amazing and way fun and just awesome! I had so much fun. We ate at a really nice Afghani resistant called Ariana at 787 9th Avenue. Check out the website. It was such amazingly good food! Then we walked the few blocks to the Met.

Okay so today was my signing! It was totally awesome. Eight people showed up and we sold seven book! So that mean I get to donate $42 to the food pantry! So seriously it was such an awesome signing. Basically the best part of the day was when two of the girls I knew from after care came with their dad. It made my day and it was nice to see them and talk to them! They are the sweetest girls and I’ve missed seeing them at aftercare so it was super cool that they came to see me today! I have pictures from the signing. I’ll post the ones of me and my signing table when I get back to school (I don’t have my camera chord. Lol). Over all I couldn’t have asked for a better first signing! So thank you everyone who came!
